POWER to the People

POWER ($POW) is a new token native to Polygon that will propel our internal staking to new levels of DeFi innovation. Minting $POW can be achieved through the redemption of single-asset $CGG staking rewards:

• Stake $CGG → earn $POW

The process of claiming POWER simultaneously mints the $POW token and places the potential in the hands of the user to put it to work in our new CToken staking pools. The possibility of dual-asset staking is also under consideration for future updates to the platform.

Earn Genesis NFTs

Once users have the POWER in their grasp, they may tap it to stake in our all-new CToken pools, granting exclusive access to rare ChainGuardians NFTs. We will be expanding upon our collection with a whole new wave of intrepid blockchain heroes; the choice of which to earn is yours to make! Genesis NFT rewards include:

• Genni Byrne — socialite by day, samurai by night (redeemable by cGENNIB tokens)

• Shiko Dai — transhuman collector and connoisseur (redeemable by cDAFA tokens)

As the internal staking platform evolves, additional CToken pools will be created to enable users the opportunity to earn different characters! More information will be released soon.

Of course, these new NFTs are designed for full functionality on our NFT mining and RPG platform. Keep an eye out for all the art and lore you know will accompany the release of these new heroes of the blockchain!

Why Another Token?

After long and careful consideration, we have determined that adding POWER to our ecosystem allows ChainGuardians the flexibility required to pursue our ambitious DeFi goals in an ever-evolving crypto environment. Employing POWER ensures legal compliance going forward and positions ChainGuardians on a long-term path of explorative innovation — this is only the first phase of a longer, broader, and more expansive DeFi vision establishing the power of choice for users for our ever-expanding platform of ground-breaking gamified DeFi.

Prioritizing POWER

In order to take advantage of emerging opportunities and to adjust to upcoming changes in our ecosystem, ChainGuardians have decided to delay the inception of the Guardian Program. Our original intention was to include CGC incentives, among other bonuses, intended to motivate participation. However, as our supporters know, CGC is being abolished. This has necessitated a comprehensive redesign of the program.

Put simply, we had two choices — delay staking or delay the Guardian Program rollout. Our primary focus has continuously been developing the fundamental technologies that provide the foundation for an engaging and rewarding DeFi experience based on token utility. We have chosen the latter. More information will be provided soon regarding our plans for the Guardian Program — stay tuned!
